3rd District Arkansas

Former DEA Special Agent and Arkansan running for Congress

Lowry's reasoning for seeking Republican nomination for Congress in the 3rd district

"I would describe myself as a Reagan conservative in that I am in favor of less spending, lower taxes, and a less intrusive and smaller government."

Lowry continues, "Good people are concerned and frustrated with the direction our country is heading. They feel disenfranchised and believe their voice is not being heard or their values represented. As their Congressman, I will follow that old biblical truth that to be a leader, you must be a servant. And I will be that to the best of my ability."

Lowry, a Republican, has met with people within Arkansas and on his travels throughout the country he hears the same theme — government is not listening to the public and there is too much bureaucratic red tape and regulation. Moreover, people believe government is becoming too intrusive in their lives. He states people are sending a strong message that the economy and our national security are of primary concern and he concurs.

Lowry plans to tackle restoring the economy through extending the Bush tax cuts, legislating additional tax cuts, stopping massive spending and reducing over-regulation of small business
Lowry, an Arkansas attorney, is a retired special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration with 25 years of service. Lowry is married to E. Karen Lowry and they have three adult sons — Joshua, Justin, Jared and their daughter-in-law, Heather. Read Lowry's full biography.
